Never did it but thought of it a few years back after seeing a Shelby. I like it. Are you going to continue refining it? Some kind of inner liner would give it a finished look, so that you aren't looking into a hole. Nice job so far!

yeah, this is my buddies hood for his sprint. he marked it out, i cut it and welded the pieces. Then shortly after came RITA, so it was jus left alone. We had planned to put some NON-RICER type mesh in it. We just got back workin on his car. It had a 200 3spd, His 86 stang had some electrical problems(fire), so now the 5.0 and 5speed are in the sprint. carbed. Now we have all the nitpicky thigs took hook up. BUt she we be quite nasty!!!

that shelby hood is alot different than the one we have. Ours is jus a stock hood with the nose having scoops made in it. That one is just completly diff. But i like it!! btw when the hood is shut, the core support is in the way of the holes. ill get more pics soon. The mod we are going to do to fix this is going to be SWEET!!

[IMG] here is the 67 shelby hoodscoop.
looks close to what you are doing to me...on a mustang it is not as far forward as a maverick, and the taper is different, 27. 1/4 x 37long x 2.1/4 high 90 bucks from speedway motors:yup:
