*jealous If you ever feel like working on a Comet let me know. You can even pay for the shipping. I'm cool like that. Great garage! It beats the crap outta my gravel driveway!
Again Frank is no where in the working part of these pics, just have to point that out. And that one pic looks like Effie is even trying to entice you to work. Nice job Effie! Love that floor also.
Looks really good. What are you useing for the heat sheild/noise deadener? I am almost at that point and I am curious. Thanks, Chuck
It works In addition to spraying Rhino-Liner in the floorpans during the paint resto, I used the aluminum backed padded/insulation. I put it behind the rear seat panels and around the rear wheel wells, even under the rear seat where possible. It looks like what Frank has. I can tell a difference around the tranny tunnel in heat and I don't get the road noise that I used to. Seth
this is the...Rhino-liner that ...lifted...i had to scrape it all off in prep. for the ...Dyno Mat/Fat Mat Xtream Rattle Trap. i had a friend using some of each so in checking them out i found out they are...the same...JMO ...Frank...
Frank- Was it the Rhino-Liner that lifter or the POR-15? Mine was as tough as nails. I had it in there-no carpet for about 3 yrs. after the paint work. No signs of lifting. Maybe it was 'cured' in along with the paint in the oven??? I would say the noise is not quite half what it was prior to the padding/liner. Heat? Quite a bit less. I still get heat at the shifter, but the tranny hump, not much. Seth
71gold ,im going to be doing this to both my cars also ,your wife did a great job ,up to her . Is there a exact name for that product ,a manufacturer, does it come in different thicknesses?
I sell the padded insulation. There is a link to it in my signature. It is good stuff and I sell it cheaper than what JC Whitney sells for the same thing. Put it in my Maverick months ago.
