    Hi, :Welcome:

could you post some pics. of what needs to be repaired?
most times you will have to cut a patch panel from a donor car.

my suggestion would be...repair the leak in the cowl first...:Handshake
if you do a search on...cowl repair... you should find a few diff. ways to do this. pick the one that would be in your best interest.:thumbs2:

    good luck...

What Frank said.:yup: Nine times out of ten the leading cause of floor rust is water leaking in through rusted out cowls. That problem need to addressed first before taking on the floors. As for the floors, they don't look too bad, but a lot can be hiding under those rust scabs. If you have a ballpeen or autobody pick hammer handy, try tapping firmly on the rusty areas to see how much of it crumbles away and how much remains solid. That will give you an idea of how extensive the rust really is.

The best rust repair is always to replace the rusted metal with new. However, if you do the steps in the thread Frank posted, you should come out a with solid floor to give you service for a time.

As soon as you hit those pea sized holes with an angle grinder / wire brush - they will be big enough to stick your hand through. I did a thread on floor repair awhile back. Easy enough to weld in new pans fabricated from Mustang pans.

I think you should remove cowl and repair all the rust. That being said some of us are working stiffs with a budget. google cameo car club they are in Deland Fl. on there site is a how to on welding in the vents on the out side. looks good but it changes the way our cars look and you wont have fresh air vents any more.
