it had a scoop, sport mirrors and has buckets..... chances are really good that it's an actual GT. but GT or not, it's worth $300 in parts. you can't go wrong!
Build sheet...i dont think you can know a Stallion with that (correct me if i'm wrong). Marti report is supposed to tell if its a Stallion...Otherwise you need the original bill of sale.
I know where you found that car! lol The guys nuts tho. He told me $300 before for the hood. Told me $1000 for the car cuz it was a "grabber" I told him it wasn't. Hes a really nice guy, you just gotta catch him on a good day, cuz he's been "going out of the business" for 20 years
Sorry for digging up old threads, but just checking back on my buddy Dan. That car is a 6 cylinder car for sure, I thought about buying the whole car, but it was 4 lug, the interior was not in great condition at all, and IIRC the right rear was on the ground. Its been there for many many years. Did you buy it?
It's probably not the car you are thinking about. Where is the car you are talking about? This guy would not sell parts off of his cars, he thinks everything he has, probably 300 or 400 cars, are for restoration only. His method for pricing cars is he gets a little more than he would if he crushed it. Which would be great if you found a car in really decent shape. No, I didn't buy it. I went back with a $300 dollar bill in my pocket and took another good look at it. I didn't notice before how bad the roof was. Back in my body work days I repaired many rollovers, which meant a new roof skin among other things. The difference in those repairs and this is a brand new roof skin, not cutting one off of a donor car. Although I would do that with the right car. In my opinion this car wasn't worth that kind of work. Plus, I really didn't have a place to store it and I was trying to get everything in place to build a shop.
That cars from Plumberville area... You gotta go up a hill in his yard, take a right and its back there on the left side of the drive a little bit. Im almost positive its the same guy, but could be wrong, but the car looks identical
Yep, same car. I'm puzzled as to why he asked you $1000 for the car. How long ago was that? Maybe you talked some sense into him by the time I happened by.
I don't know he wasn't in a good mood that day. He's very picky about people opening hoods and things unless they are buying them due to people bending hoods and stuff. His wife sent him up on the hill where he was, and he was pissy because someone had messed up a good hood he was going to sell. (but yet he told me later he didnt want to sell parts, just cars. lol) I asked what he wanted for the hood, he hee-hawed around and said hed rather just sell the car outright. This was prob 2 or 3 years ago now, as it was when I was looking for a better hood for my Comet, and that cars been gone over a year and a half now.
