My wife & daughter & I voted . I think Mr Millers car is a must for the calander for the reasons it is no longer with us . The #1 car is a must .

thanks mavdog. it would mean alot to my daughter to see it make it. if it makes this years calendar it would be it's final showing. hopefully by next years calendar i will have the other one looking presentable. i am hoping to get the engine swapped by christmas and have it ready for the silver springs show. the 6 cyl in it now runs but is VERY tired.

First, thank you to Jimmy for spearheading this, I know from John doing it the other times that it ain't easy. I voted and it was hard to come up with 13 picks and I hope this isn't taken the wrong way but I'm going to pick on a few photos and I only mean this in a constructive way. There are alot of good looking cars that I did not vote for because of photo quality or pose.
    1) Abartle: I like your car and think it is calander worthy but the wheels are turned the wrong way in both pics and it throws off the perspective for the pic.
    2) I like Millers car also but the sign board in front kind of ruins it, I have seen some real nice pics of your car with nice backgrounds.
3)16 & 17, I know I just read a long thread on this car and it is awesome but those pics really take away from the car, the lights in the background drown out the car and don't do it any justice.
4)Mean_Maverick, nice car just a very unappealing pose in both shots.
5)#62 a burnout is cool but not for a pic when it covers a third of the car,#42 is cool because it is lightin' up and you can see the car.
Again, I don't mean this as pick on anybodys car thing just something to think about when you are shooting pics of your car for something like a calander. pic 63 has a good angle and background, pic #50 is better than #49 because the it is all in the same light awesome background, I like Daves rear shot:D #44 it shows the aggressive lowered stance, #s 18 & 19 look awesome with wet concrete showing the reflections of the wheels and the angles are good too. Just my thoughts and for the third time all are cool cars and I am not in anyway dogging the quality of the cars just pointing out how we might get a better quality calander of cars.:victory:I mean for this to be a peace smiley.

Wardf, your comments are good ,but i think we are loosing the point here . This was not ment to be a professionaly done calendar ,if that was the case then we would all have to go get pros to take pics with professional cameras ,my 4 pics 49,50,51,52 were taken by my girlfriend Grabbergirl719 with a $80.00 camera ,i did put in some thought for a great place to shoot . My objective was to put in some good looking cars (not neccesarily the best cars),you know give the underdog a shot . I plan on redoing my Grabber and Bevs Grabber this year, a full resto on both ,new paint ,complete new rubber seals ,new chrome ect ,10 out of 10 for both cars ,but not all can do this in one shot like i can ,some take two or three years to do this ,you must understand this ,to get a show car takes lots of time and money.

Jimmy, you are making my point.:DI wasn't talking about professional pics either. Like you said
Thats all anyone has to do, put some thought into it, and again I wasn't knocking the cars, but you can take a good pic for this with a cheap camera and a little thinking.

Ok ,i took it apon my self to right down the top 13 cars voted as of now ,and there are 3 cars that i would ask for a better background for there cars . If the voting stays as is and the three cars that i think need to find a better background photo with there cars ie, a local park by a weeping willow tree with no distractions in the back ground ,by a local pond ect ,best natural lighting is at dawn or dusk . If these three cars cant submit a better(more background eye candy) ,they will be replaced by a runner up. That said i think this Calendar will turn out preety darn good.

Jimmy, are you sure that the top 13 will turn out fine when printed? Remember, what you see on the screen and what you print may come out different. Its to late at this stage to change pictures as voting has already started and would not be fair to others who missed the deadline.... My :2cents:.

ward, i agree there are better pics of the 4 door (with out signs) but most have already been used in a post or seen by many. I wish i could go take some better /newer pics but that is not a possibility. I only added it at the last minute for my daughter as a wild card.
i do agree there are some nice cars with poor choice of backgrounds. when i voted i tried to get a mix of professional looking pics and good pics from the average joe. I know jimmy will do his best in reprinting the calendar pics. B.T.W. THANKS FOR DOING THIS!!!!!

OK,OK to stop all this crap and fighting ,i took it apon myself to drive down to the printing shop with my wireless labtop and log in and show Kristine the head honcho the pics that are being voted on including the origanals in the gallery. Her responce was to start laughing after i told her about the politics of this calendar and she assured me with the size of the pics ,all of them enough size. With the high tech Photo lab they have and the capability of digitally changing resolution and pixels all the pictures will turn out show quaility, gaureented. ps J.Miller ,dont you worry ,i have a few aces up my sleeve ,only because im the one in charge of the end result and nobody will be hurt by my choices. cheers friends ,trying to make things right. James

Ok. I voted. I don't know what the deadline is and I hope it's not too late. I've been out of town since the last Monday.

What are the chances of cars from the Virtual car show's getting in next time. I'm sure all this was already discussed and I missed it. I know some of those cars have never made it in the calender, and I see some of these choices have been in calenders years past.
