    Hey guys,

This past weekend I pulled out the original carpet and then the underlayment. I started sanding the floor and I want to get the surface rust off and then seal it before I put a new floor in. The question I have is, should I sand the entire floor area, even the areas without rust? ...After the sanding is done, do I just need a new underlayment and carpet and will that be good? Thanks, for the responses!

If you plan to put paint down on the floor pan, scuff up whatever you intend to paint.(Paints gotta stick to something)
Treat any rusty metal with a rust neutralizer/sealer then paint it all up.

It appears that no stores in Arkansas sell it but they do in Talaquah, OK. Almost time for a road trip.
