Just got home myself. Only Mav/Comet parts I saw for sale was a mismatched set of Coemt taillights, two grill lamp lenses with crosshairs, and the broken ends of the Comet grill they came from with no center section. I am regretting already passing on a brand new in the box AM/FM 8 Track 4 speaker/channel setup for Ford cars, $40 in the box and complete with instructions and hardware. And there were 3 Mavericks in the Corral, 2 owned by a Marine stationed in Albany going to Quantico and selling his 4 door and enjoying his 72 Grabber (Grabber Blue, 302 (cammed nicely), 4 speed, 9 inch with 3.90 gears). And a 76 or 77 2 door with a 302 for $4200 obo.

    Fred,

I thought I had your number in my phone, didn't, sorry I had no way of connecting with you once I got there. I called 71Gold, Frank, a couple of times, phone stopped ringing, but never heard anyone say anything, called Jamie, sorry Jamie, thought you were there.

No, problem Frank, I just felt like an idiot for not having numbers and was reaching out on the ones I had on my phone on an off chance somebody was there. And yes, I squeezed my arm just now for a second opinion and I still feel like an idiot. On the upside, I hauled 4 of us over there, combined weight of about 750 lbs, and drove 65-80 most of the way there and got 19 plus mpg, not bad for an original unrebuilt 302 engine and a 3 speed with no overdrive. Oh, yeah, I got to buy gas in Statenville at $1.569 a gallon, that was the buy of the day for sure!! Not the $30 I spent on food and drinks for my 11 year old son and myself. NOTE: He did eat a 1/2 lb cheeseburger and a side of fries all by himself though. It was a nice day, wind chill was kicking it to the bone, but abundant sunshine for sure.

Maybe a lesson we all can get out of this is a phone tree of sorts. either on our phones, a notebook, or maybe the forum can set up an area with contact info.

No problem at all... was good talking to you. I was hoping to go, but didn't get off work until 8:45 Friday night (went in at 5:30 A.M.). Needless to say, I wasn't much feeling like getting up that early the next morning and driving that far. I was just driving down the road on my way to the Pull-A-Part when you called.
