    Hey all,
Anyone know the original Green color scheme on a 1972 Grabber or how I can find out?
The Grabber I have was orginally green and I would like to put it back to its original color. See posted pics.
On the hood I believe where there is now blk hood stripes it was green since it appears through some of the cracks in the blk stripping--however I think it was a lighter green than the rest of the body color?
I believe the same goes for the bottom blk strip that runs the length of each side--only because the Grabber appears green. I am unsure of the area between the tail lights--it is now black, so assume it was the lighter green?
I have attached a pic of the inside of the hood where you can still see the green--I am assuming that is the same green as the body?
So, can anyone answer these ?s?
Anyone know the color #s for each of the green colors used? or how I might find out?
BTW--have dogdish caps on it now thanks to you all and finding them under the 90s looking things. However, am looking for trim rings to finish it off--is there a certain ring to use, or any 14" ring will do? Thought I saw some on Ebay that were listed for MGrabber but were gone by the time I went back to it. Anyone out there with suggestions on this issue too?
    Thanks in advance everyone!!

    Here's a 72 color chart

You should be able to match one of these greens to the color code on your vin sticker. The colors don't show very true but I'm thinking you may have code 4F.

    Thanks much.
But what about the lighter green, is that posted there? And am I correct about where I have blk it was the lighter green?
And were there deeper, special fit trim rings for the Grabber if it had dog dishes on?

So maybe it was 4F for the body and 4E for the stripes?
Anyone have pics from back in the day of such?

Doug Bauer has some pictures on his website of a green grabber he owns...should be what yours used to look like: www.TexasGrabber.com

I should have the beauty rings you need. Email me directly (see below) if I can help.

Also, I think I found a stripe kit on www.stencilsandstripes.com
    Says "Dark Green/Light Green 2 color non-reflective for $229.00.
So that would be the kit to do the above? # is 4401971 And is that a good price?
It also says it "includes trunk stripe." Whats that about?? Didn't know there was a trunk stripe?

That is correct! Not sure Im sold on the overall look of the green, guess cause the yellow stands out so much. How do you like your green, of course you love it. And it looks great! I just dont think it is the dark green on the body, but the light green looks like the right deal that is coming through some cracks on the hood decal area.
