...of a disc/drum power brake master cylinder that belongs on a Maverick?

Particularly interested in the flange where it bolts to the booster. I'd like to see one installed, how it looks in relation to the special brace, and what the proper booster looks like. If you have one laying around that's not installed, I would love to see the back side of the flange too.

I suspect mine is not stock, and would like to confirm it before I go on a wild goose chase trying to find exactly what master cylinder does work with my setup.

    Thanks!

I'm not sure of that. It was converted to 5-lug PB/PS before I got it, and I'm told it was Granada stuff. I do know Granada brake pads fit it because that's what I bought last time. I THINK Granada and Maverick master cylinders and boosters are the same but I don't know. I bought a Granada master cylinder and the flange doesn't line up with the booster.

I do know that the power steering setup on this thing is "hybridized." Kinda nice actually. It's got a tight steering box which is from a Mav, I think the power assist is '75 Maverick also, but the pump is not. It looks like Fox Mustang. Whatever it is, it's not "overboosted" like people say most PS Mavericks are. Got a good feel to it, not sloppy...

So since there was clearly some junkyard engineering going on with the power steering which was done at the same time, that's led me to wonder about the brakes.

Yeah, thanks. Your master cylinder is not the same as mine, but your booster is. :hmmm:

Not my car. Saw it at a cruise-in.

If you're converting a car that's manual brakes to power, you're also going to need the pedal support & pedal, as well as the booster and tower brace. Everything's different in this setup. I converted mine from power to manual. With the power setup there's ZERO room for sparkplug access with a V8

Yeah, tell me about it... I changed the plugs once, and I hope it's a long time before I have to do that again. I used platinums, so hopefully they'll last. It's already been converted to power brakes and I plan on keeping it that way, I'm just upgrading the master cylinder for a rear disc conversion.

Do a search on ebay. Raymond from Owensboro, KY has a set-up on ebay for sale right now that shows you all the parts.

    Thanks, Craig.

I've concluded that a disc/disc Granada must use a different booster than a disc/drum one. I think the next stop on my path to enlightenment is to find out if that booster fits a Maverick...
