Jamie,I know you said the rear sump wouldnt clear the center link What kind of clearance is there from the pan rail on the block to the centerlink?
hey jamie i know somebody that has a ton of pintos and mustang IIs ill ask if he has a spare pan and pickup he is just about done doing a efi swap in a pinto wagon brad
Don't know, I haven't had the factory pan off the engine yet. Thanks, that would be great. See if he has the alternator brackets also. Heck, see if he has a bell housing to connect a 2.3 to a C4, along with the flex plate and torque converter while he's looking.. I've been seriously thinking about just throwing this thing in my '72 daily driver with a C4 behind it for the time being... It rained all day Saturday so I didn't make it to Augusta.
Found a guy on a Pinto forum with an oil pan. He is shipping it out tomorrow. Still more then I would like to pay, but I have to have it or else this project will never be completed, so what ever.
Not for sale, by chance? If I had those parts, my '72 would be driving under 2.3 power this time next week.
yes and no if this deal i have going thorugh on a 302 follows through then i would be interested in selling it. Shoot me a pm and we will discuss it a lil or hit me up on AIM @ prostreetcobraII
I cruised the '72 over to TN this morning and met up with Joe Dirt. I now have the bell housing, flex plate and torque converter to put a C4 behind my 2.3! Also checked out his '74, looks like he has a good project going. This Thursday I will test fit the 2.3/C4 into my '73 2 door. If I can get the oil pan by then, I'll throw a radiator in it and drive it around too. If all seems well, then I will pull the engine back out of the '73 and start planning on swapping it into my '72 daily driver so I can really get some miles on it and see how I like it.
good news Jamie! hope to see it up and going soon. BTW, u should have come on up for a minute. kinda interested in meeting u one day
