    1972 mercury comet with a maverick front end. It has a 1992 5.0 motor in it.
    Ive got my motor out and i want to paint it but im unsure of the color yet...........If anybody has pic to post of ther motor that would be great thank you. i need :idea:s

    Mine just came back Ford blue. Looks great with the aluminum heads and blue Meziere water pump. :)

    no pics, but i prefer ford blue with black brackets/pulleys. i paint everything, even aluminum heads and manifold, but i like the sleeper look.

    I went with the lighter ford blue. I think it is the newer color?:huh: And painted the heads and oilpan to look aluminum-ish.

    Those are chrome valve covers, but they look black in the pic due to reflections.

    My taste is Ford blue for classic looks, or black for heat dissipation.
    Gray is boring, and everything else just don't look right on a Ford.
    My opinion...

    I like the dark Ford blue, infact if I ever run aluminum heads they will be pianted to make it look like a nostalgia pro stock.
