I cant tell you much other than hard shifts from 1st to 2nd and 3rd is not ucommon with these transmissions after being used hard.It only takes a few missed shifts at rpm to wreck the blocker rings and munch the shift rails. They are not cheap to rebuild either.Let the post ride for a while... others will chime in...knowledgeable others.Patience grasshopper.

The Mavstang had pedals and tranny out of a 92 5.0 Stang. So the pedals can be made to fit I suppose. How he did it, I have no idea. I never studied the pedals other than they were out of the same car as the tranny. I doubt very seriously they bolted right in.

you can take the clutch petal form the mustang one and modify it to fit on the maverick petals, just get some tubing and a drill and a welder. their are several people who have done this, the mustang you got the petals from does matter on where to drill the holes for the clutch petal. ill get some pics and post on what i did to mine. but if your going to do the swap get an aftermarket metal quadrant and a firewall adjuster and the oem mustang clutch cable. otherwise you will be changing the cables regularly. pm me and i can give you more details

Try this....sometimes this helps locate the problem.

shut the car off and shift it , if it shifts fine not running then it could be the throwout bearing. If it is still hard to shift then it might be the syncros. T-5 syncronizers go all the time in 5.0's that have been raced and abused (kids)... but as cheap as they are really... do what i did in the falcon... buy 2 of them for a hundred bucks one might have 5th gear gone all together, and then the other 2nd gear syncro is bad... swap parts and you have one nice tranny.
