so i was just looking at my maverick a few minutes ago. and i know im gonna paint her flat black at first but she's kinda this soothing blue right now. I'm wanting to paint her blue again with flat black stripes. but then i got to wondering....what would she look like FLAT blue with flat black stripes?

leave some feedback and pics of ANY car flat blue if you got em

    thanks guys

Intresting idea. The flat black I personaly don't like. It looks great when ffresh but then it gets kinda like a used chalk board, powdery. Being your thinking stripes, that may look wowser.

i cant seem to find any semi gloss pictures...what i might do is paint it flat blue with flat black stripes and if i dont like the way it turns out i can always shine it up with a clear coat :bananaman

what i suggest is a darker satin blue. but applying something like this is gonna take some serious bodywork and prep, otherwise it will just look like a spraypaint job. if done right ive seen it look like silk blue pajamas. if you get a finish like that you will turn heads no matter where you go. its basically just like a normal 2 stage paint job. one you lay your basic enamel you get the satin clear coat and spray it over it. gotta be careful thought. not sure if you can just sand and buff out trash in the paint like a gloss clear. hope this helps
