You know its funny. I thought I would have this car done in a few months. So when the months started passing by I got discouraged a bit. Now I realize that a year aint too bad. Our body man said when I got the car not to rush it so what if it takes a year to get it back together. I thought he was on crack. Turns out he was dead on to the month.
I guess you would. I didnt mind the old color and would have left it if it didnt have so many dents and dings. Its a love it or hate it color it seems. Some guys really liked the look with the light blue and some thought it was awful. Always liked the Grabber Blue so thats what we went with. We tried some new blues but they just seemed too new. Didnt suit the car. I like the solid colors on the old stuff. Thanx darren.
you got that one right on the nose! i hated it at first! it was so er... mannnly like... lol! but then i liked it because well for one, you never see a car that color anymore not to meantion it's color is right to the period of when that car came out. you know the 70's! we all love avocado green, doo doo brown rotten orange and puke yellow right?
Thats OK the first thing one of my best friends said when he saw mine in Grabber Blue was why did you paint it that girly color. I thought it was a step up on the manly scale compared to the light blue but maybe not. Oh well I built it for me not him.
Great lookin car Darren. I like the color also, but am more partial to green. Can't wait to see it in person in May. These cars all seem to take a while to finish, if they are ever finished. But the wait is worth it. Wait till you and larry get side by each.Twins
That will take a great pic with yours in the middle. I may have done the car Green if I had a black interior. Be a tough choice between Green , Orange and Blue. Since Green and Orange dont go with the blue int. it was easy. Got enough work without doing an int. change as well. Looking at the state of the dollar I might not have the stripe on this year. Going to put the 70 Grabber stripe since I dont want the Grabber logo. Not ordering U.S. in this market though. It can wait. No biggie. Hey wouldnt mine and Larry's look cool going down the drag strip side by side.
