    decided im going to paint my engine and engine compartment this summer and i need some advice.... its been 6 years since it was painted last and i dont know what the owner beofre me used.... (it was probably a hack job:rofl:)

    is 500 degree paint that good???? has anyone had any problems with it:hmmm:

    i think its too good to be true and that i will have to use acrillic paint for the engine


    im looking for what will last the longest and how long... any help out their????:bowdown:

    Use engine paint on the engine, and regular car paint on the engine compartment.

    If you really want it to last....all old paint will need to be removed off the engine.

    '73 Mav w/ 302
    Not at all hard to do with aircraft stripper, or Kleen Strip. Even easier if you have access to a caustic bath.
