No, I had a fantastic time!!! You Ga guys have the large times cause you're always eating somewhere! I didn't have time to eat yesterday!!!
Well, personally, I don't see the big deal in having a large time. I have a large time every minute of the day. Everywhere I go, I'm large.
great story Ray, I enjoyed the read. It shows the true passion of a racer (car guy) to endure all of that to make a few passes. Sounds like you represented yourself well.......now if you ever get serious about racing, get rid of the 3rd pedal :bananaman
Yeah yeah yeah...I know. I still like it too much when the racers come up to my car and say..."You got a 4 speed in that thing???" I'm too old to get serious about racing. Just enjoy having fun with it.
And I'm getting better with it. My goal when I went there was to run between 7.0 to 7.10. My two good passes after the axle mishap were 6.97 and 7.03. I feel good about that.
Congrats on Making a great Maverick Showing and for the good passes you made! Sounds like you really enjoyed it.
Dave, how bout I sell it to you for say...oh...$400 (cost of new axles) and you can go in business for yourself...for the second time. The world needs new Maverick axle key chains and I think you'd do great!!! I think you've been needing a new project. And the best thing...I take Paypal!
Good reading, Ray. Excellent photo of your car too! (We both know you'll have C4 and 4500 stall converter to drop in just for the race next time. ) Better luck next time.
As much of a pain in the ass it is to take that z-bar in and out...I doubt it! I'm ready for a cable clutch.
