Can anyone point me in the right direction on building one for my 74? interior stuff isnt my strong point
Here is mine. I used plywood and carpeted everything. Used cardboard to make templates, then jigged out the plywood. Mines a little different and a little more difficult cause of the ladder bars and roll bars. You could also use the back seat (back part) to mount speakers. I couldn't cause of the bars. I can get better pics and give more detail if it will help.
I not sure on the thickness....think it was 1/8 inch Self tapping screws in the rear deck lid. Glue on the floor
Hey, whatever works. lol 1/4 aint much thicker, I made a doghouse out of that once. lol dog jumped right thru the side. Whatever you used, it looks great
i welded a flat piece of shetmetal back there.... it looks similar to those pics.. i didnt used wood because in an accident i dont want the gas tank splash the interior of the car with flaming gasoline...
I remember why I went with thinner wood...... 1) its easier to work with. 2) its lighter 3) its cheaper 4) it gains mass when wrapped in carpet 5) the pieces do "nothing".......its not like they need to support tons of weight.
