On mine there is no stripe on the lid. However there is a small stripe that runs just at the bottom of the spoiler near the lip of the trunk and also then connects to the (not sure of the part name) wings that continue the spoiler look around to the bumper on each corner. Ck out the gallery, there are many pics of cars with their rear ends showing :rofl2:
Seriously. Here is a pic of mine attached this file in thread : Know Green Color Scheme on 72 Grabber?

no pinstripe, just the back panel, feel free to look at my pics in the member area. i repainted it but used the original paint job as a template and made sure the painter followed stock to the best of his ability.

It should have. Maybe it got lost in a car wash incident.

i would PM dmhines to double check but my grabber did NOT have a pinstripe on the back when i bought it. there was one around the hood stripe (single solid center with blakc pin) and the yellow one around the black side stripes, but the tail panel was just black on the insert/tail light panel and red on the rest. i will post a pic of it when i bought it (found it today:bananaman)
By the way your hood pic is a 72 stripe not 71 FYI

cmain125 appears to have a 72--so should we assume then that 72s had the little stripe and 71s did not? All the 72s I have looked at had the little stripe and I believe if you were to get the kit to do the stripe is there.
Anyone have a pic from the past that can confirm this? So many of our cars have been redone, stripped etc so who knows--unless you bought the thing new and haven't changed, or different distribution centers did different things . . . ie 67 Mustang California style had the little turn signals on the hood so you the driver could see the light blink when you put the signal on. So . . . ? Pics from the time and new owners should know for us.
I wanna know thats for sure!
