How many different c-4 are there? I was thinking of trying to trade my aod for a c-4 trans. Is there a specific one that i need to bolt to my 92 block?
I would assume your aod has a larger 164 tooth flywheel. You will need a c4 58 tooth 50oz balance. You will want a case fill c4 as they seem to be the best performance units....
You could use a large bell housing (and C4) with the existing flexplate and the larger C4 converter.....
This going to sound stupid but ive heard 2 things different allready, and im not sure so im going to ask. Do automatics have flywheels or flexplates? Both have been mentioned in this thread. Not trying to be smart, i just dont no. THANKS
They serve the same function and are "interchangeable" terms. However, the "proper term" for an automatic is "flexplate".
not with the headers I sold him last month Long tube hedmans.... and paul is correct it is a flex plate
Just found a c4 trans that is suppose to be good for 90.00 it cam off a v8. How do i no if its a small bellhousing or not? Just want to no before i buy something i cant use.
