Not much to say. Was originally a 302 car, bench seat, automatic on the column. The car was originally my grandma and grandpa's car. Grandma drove it back and forth to work, they got divorced. From then untill about 81' my grandpa drove it back and forth to work. He didn't drive it much, a series of different family members drove it around. Untill one night in the snow my dad was messing around in the co-op parking lot. Lets just say he backed into a poll. Shortly after that it was parked out by the barn, and she sat untill I went and drug it's lifeless body home and tore into it. It was really rusty, and has been a learning experience for me I have done a lot of first's on this car. Fixing rust holes, dents, pulled my first engine,(im 17). Here are some pics, i'll update it with some pics as the progress rolls along.
some more pics one of it in black is how it sits now, except for with the rear shackles waiting to be put back together so it is in the garage sitting on cinder blocks.
Got it back on its wheels after a complete rearend suspension teardown and rebuild. Had some new and beefier shackles made, got new bushings in and new shocks, threw some traction bars on for good motivation and now i am moving on to smoothing the body out some more. I am gonna go take some pics to post.
Looks good, you have come a long way with it. Good to see younger people take an interest in older American muscle....
Do yours have threaded things that turn onto lug, and then you put the washer on and then the chrome cap that tightens down? If yes I am sorry
Tore the frontend apart to replace the shocks, Undercoated the inside fender areas. here is some pics. The engine is the engine out of my lincoln mark vii, it will live on in my Maverick.
