Yeah, I'm kind of staying in realm of a factory look (sorta anyway). When it gets done it will look a lot like Wilbur Green's car. Yeah, I used a Comet hood scoop.... reason is, I put one of those on my original car, so I wanted to bring back as much of that "feeling" that I could. I know it's not true to a Stallion, but heck, this is only a clone anyway.... Thanks for the comments... Art
Wow! I'm very happy to hear the decals worked. They look perfect. I had bought a NOS set of stallion decals, with no hope that they'd be good. Now,......well, by the time I redo mine they will probably be bad anyway. But I can hope. Steve
Very nice Art! I like the scoop too. Hey, the stickers, are they supposed to be looking forward? I don't know what is correct. I see your avatar is looking back...
It's early for me. Your statement confuses me. I'm reading that the pass side looks forward and the drivers side looks back? Are they L/R specific? These aren't http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD...d=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65:10|39:1|240:1318
WOW 1 The car looks great and you won't be dissappointed I have Dale and Jean's old Stallion and it still looks great.
The "Stallion" always looks forward. Yes, there are specific left and right hand sides to the stickers. See this link for the re-popped ones... http://www.phoenixgraphix.com/ford/1976mst.htm?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-...1|240:1318 I like those wheel emblems, and I considered ordering them to use in my slotted alum wheels. However, I wish they would have just put the Stallion logo in there without the "Maverick" wording. It looks a little crowded, and that way those emblems would have been OK for the Mustang and Pinto versions as well. Maybe they'll come out with a second version...
We sanded the trim pieces and sprayed them with an epoxy primer. After the primer was dry the trim pieces were painted satin black. The chrome boomerangs were sanded down and painted basecoat/clearcoat black.
WOW!!! Looking good!!! I have a set of NOS decal and a set of reproduction decal too. Dont know which one my father will use..
