92 5.0 build progress

Well got alot done today. Buddy of mine came over sat in a chair drank some cold beer and supervised me. I got the crank, pistons, cam, timing set and oil pump on this evening. Looks good, kinda jacked up right now.

 

Yep its a nice feeling to see it going together. Just dont join in the beer and get distracted by your buddies like I did. Forgot to torque the cam bolt and lost a good motor. 20 years ago so I can admit it now. Think I blamed it on a broken cam back then.

Lol, yea that the efi cable i was using.

 

Just look at all that space............lol. Love the room after shaving the towers. I can get my hand in no problem. I would strongly advise doing this if you have the motor out.

 

My head hurts trying to figure out the alternator mounting $hit. All the stuff on my motor was from the efi stuff. Im wanting to keep the alternator as low as possible. Any ideas?

 

And I was just looking at your pic's for ideas...I'm fighting with the same thing.
