dash pad covers

    are they junk or are they worth the $100 my pops said that they are junk cause the one on his 72 blazer never stayed on and was a hassle.... i live in az... its hot will this affect them or their adhesives? its like 150 or 160 in a dark car in the summer

    With your conditions, it'll last longer and be a heck of a lot cheaper than having your dash pad re-finished.

    yea all of the pads in the cars here look like they have been through fires the sun through the windsheild actually turns them brown and black!

    I have a custom carpet mat on mine, didnt even know they made them, til mine came with it.

    You asked so here goes... they suck. Maybe the heat you guys have out there will help mold it better.

    ive been told that the heat melts the adheasive and they slide off

    I could see that happening. I have also heard that they snap in and don't need adhesive. Either way, I am not impressed.

    im happy with mine. it fits nicely. it uses silicone to glue on. the silicone does just fine in the heat.

    I got mine from J C Whitney. It snapped on over the pad and fits great, no adhesive.

    Three 71 Maverick Grabbers, a 72 302 Sprint, a 73 LDO 2door parts car, a 76 silver v8 Stallion.
    I have three of them...have used them for at least 6 years, still look like new, didn't use adhesive, look like factory pad, love them! Oh, still have 2 more new ones for future use.
