would anyone be interested in a "kit" so to speak that would allow a clutch cable to be installed into your car with ease?

ive received ALOT of email and pm's over the past few weeks about installing the T5 in my car and im thinking that with the right modified cable and the directions (to point one in the right direction), one could accomplish the mate between the trans and the pedal in a matter of hours at most.

just lemme know what you guys think and ill see what i can do about getting some modified cables and doing a "write-up" or "how-to" to help those in need of this information :yup:

i know alot of you are thinking how much....... well im thinking like $99 for everything needed. i dont think one could find a better package deal anywhere else ;)

That would be cool. I thought I saw a kit at npd for a heck of a lot more.
A five or six speed in a mav/comet is the ultimate upgrade.

just the parts needed for the cable install, nothing else.

yeah. i was trying to put something together that "we" could afford.

yeah. no matter if it's here or from up there, im always getting questions about putting it in. i figure the "how-to" info is worth that, and then you get what you need to put the cable setup in.

thanks for the encouragement guys. i think i may move forward with this and see where it goes. im not looking to get rich from the idea, just provide the info and parts needed to mate the trans. to the pedal w/o breaking the bank (y)

I'm all for it. I think that $99 is well worth taking the pain out of that one major hurdle that comes with installing a T5. Would your kit work with power brakes? (No matter I guess - I would trade power brakes for a 5-speed in a second.)

thanks for pointing that out Frank ;)

this wouldnt be for a car with power brakes. the brake booster and parts would make it extremely difficult to put any cable setup in your car..... but maybe down the road we might look into it :)

Yeah, but like I said - I'd snatch the power brakes in a second if it meant having a five speed. Or plunder junkyards for a smaller booster... I've seen a little Geo booster on a Falcon once, something like that might do the trick.

I wish somebody would do a hydraulic setup, seems it would have a smaller footprint... I've got the pedal (hanger) setup, would like to go with a TKO-600 at some point down the road.

Sign me up. A 5 speed would go very nice with my 4:11's.
