    I got 75 mav, inline 6.

I have front discs, manual brakes. I want to get power brakes, but I cant find any info on what I need to swap put or add to my current set up.

Im going to swap out my inline 6 for a 302 H.O. out of a 89 stang. I know mt brakes wont be able to stop me so, I want to do the conversion before I do the swap. I just need help on where to look and how to do it.

All the tech articles I see are from manual drums to power disc, but not from manual disc to power disc.

Any help is much appreciated, thanx guys!!

the manual discs work fine for me, traction is the weak point. if you really want power though, all you should need is the vacuum canister and power master cylinder. or are you thinking of doing one of the fancy conversions using geo parts?

I just want something that is gonna stop my car lol My manual brakes arent stopping so great. I changed my brake pads last yr and they are still brand new!! I mean brand spanking new.

I dont want something flashy, just something that will work.

turn your rotors and "re-seat" your brakes in. that should help you alot....

my rotors are fine, i had them professional checked. new pads, rotors, bearings. all put in last year.

my main fear of switching to power brakes is losing vacuum if i get a more then mild cam installed.

Change your front flex lines, with new ones, that should help a bit. Or get a gym membership, and work on those leg muscles.

Power brakes arent going to solve your problem. They make it easier to press the pedal, but will not stop the car harder. I would start with the pads, switch them out for a good high performance ceramic pad. Now if you can slam the brakes on and lock up your tires, theres nothing more power assist can do for you. If your brakes are good, and you cant lock up the tires, you have incredibly weak leg muscles and would do better spending your money on a gym membership with a leg press. Besides, the shock tower brace that is used on cars with a power booster is truely hideous. I think more of the high performance cars on here run manual disc, but if you are still convinced you will need a booster, You will need to convert to this brace, on ebay right now :disagree::[IMG]
