Well I put the car on the trailer a week ago and hauled it over to my buddies house. Next weekend we pick up some steel and two weeks from now we start bending!

Oh and I took the block in today to get the machine work done...so progress has started again!

An 8 point cage is in the works. I would like to go with the 12, but the funds just don't allow it at this point.

Saturday...I'm still working on that one! I have to see if I can get a kitchen pass to leave the house.

Wow that is one super clean Mav. I really like the way the color, rims / tires and absence of trim all complement each other. You don't see too many silver Mav / Coms.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the props! I just wish that it was further along. You can ask Don, but if I would just pick a direction and finish with it instead of changing my plans all the time...it probably would have been done years ago! I'm thinking that once I've got the motor back together again (for the second time...don't ask) I will get the bug to finish it.

On another note, I've been pricing 1 5/8" .118 minimum wall DOM mild steel. Anyone know where to get a good deal on it? I'm seeing $108 a 20 foot length out here right now. Does that sound correct?

Yeah, but you don't want to trip as you are walking across the yard!

I have to laugh...when we first moved back here (my wife and I were both raised out here but moved to Minnesota for 13 years due to work) my dog was 10 years old. He is a smart dog (border collie) but the concept of hot rocks and cactus completely escaped him! I can't tell you how many times I had to pull thorns out of his paws before he finally learned. He still pee's on the cactus every now and then and I just cringe! There are certain parts that he will have to pull his own thorns out of! For what it's worth I do have a nice patch of grass in the back yard for him...but I still think that he misses the snow.
