Jeremy, I'm running the C4 only because I had one sitting around. I will soon go to an AOD. I have a 3.80 8" trac-loc. If you stick with speed density make all the mods and then have a chip burned for the new combination. The nice thing about speed density is that you can run a simple "air cleaner" off of the throttle body and avoid the massive air tube and moving the battery to the trunk. Just an idea.

    sweet.
a few of my buds have been discussing swapping an EFI into our old cars...
never got off of the ground.
Most of us use our "hotrod" as our daily driver, tends to slow down mods.
admittedly, its not as good as multipoint fuel injection, but has anyone given the Holley throttle body system a shot?

While we're on the subject: I was reminded of someone who made (makes) shock-tower braces for carbed Mavs. Looked nice (and probably well worth the effort for handling).

Has anyone made a brace for an EFI? If so, a pic of that would be nice. Even better, a tech article maybe (sketch, what NOT to do, etc).

Guys with EFI's: In case no one has made a brace - I can't tell from the picture - How much of a bend would have to be made in the brace to clear the upper (or lower)? Reason I'm asking is, if it's a small diameter rod, it probably isn't doing it's job. A large(er) diameter rod might be needed if it has a severe bend in it.

    Thanks,

    Rick

Rick, I haven't addressed that yet. But, it looks like the easiest thing to do is run a brace from shock tower to shock tower similar to the kits sold for mustangs. What do you think

Firewall to spring tower braces for EFI installation: I used 1" sq. tubing with (formed) flat stock ends welded in to bolt down to the original firewall holes and bolt to the shock tower bolts. The flat stock bends allow just enough clearence over the rear corner of the upper plenum. The finish is black wrinkle paint.
Will get to the cross bar someday but looks like a straight run accross can't be done on EFI so a custom fab is in order.
To many things to do. Have my Lincoln LSC to work over with suspension, posi and blower and paint.

Cool! I'm in the process of fuel injecting my '72 with a '93 LX H/O injection system. I've got the whole mustang here in the driveway. Every wire is still here. Does anyone know where I can get an online wiring diagram?

By the way, EFI, what did you use for the cold air intake? The mustang already has one but it's aluminum and I'm not sure it'll fit. I was also thinking of putting the battery in the trunk and running the filter to where the battery normally sets.
Just another question. For now. You did change over complete wiring(fusebox as well as as charging systems) right?

Im curious i really want to put a fuel injected engine out of a mustang of something thats a 302 and put a helion turbo on it and just wondering how hard is it to do this swap compared to a carbuerated engine. I mean as far as custom pieces or anything that would halt my engine swap i would like to know what it would be.
