    Gene...Definitely prime the bare metal with an etching primer before you lay whatever paint you want on it.Heres a suggestion on paint.Like Dave said(its a big dash)Paint your hammerd stuff on the inner concave section of the dash.Do the outer portion same as the dash pad or body color...Just a thought...

    put a light in the hole in the dash that hold on. make it light up when the passenger sits in the pass seat. ford used a pressure switch in the seats for the seat belt interlock system that trigered that light. it should be easy to to rig up.

    This is my concern. I can't help but to think that by doing the doors, it would help blend it all together.

    Well, i'm thinking about putting the light fixture in it, but not use it.

    Ok, it does look charcoal now that you mention it. Looks good to me. Makes blending easy. :)

    the key word here is...HAMMERED..that is what it looks like. a paint job on a piece of metal that has been beat all to hell...:bouncy:
    i did a test panel with the charcoal and it looked like a...black paint job gone bad...
