    here is a pic. of my floorpan i had installed at a...Mustang resto. shop...
    he did both front pans and Por15 was put on both. as you can see it didn't last...it all peeled off almost in one sheet...

    it looks the same...wanting the prep work done right was the reason i took it to a place that restores older cars ( Mustang Central)...:yup:
    ...and paid that price to get it done...right...

    Do they use POR15? Did they object to using it? Some places won't use anything except what they use, for these reasons.
    I have seen POR15 on several cars and I don't really like the glossy shine. It looks like it would peal just looking at it. I have seen the silver and it LOOKED ok.

    I've tried to peel it off some spots on my car, it won't budge. I got some one my hand, it stayed for weeks!!

    my ...rule-of-thumb...is.if they screwed it up when i paid them...what kind of job do i expect from them when i take it back and they do it for nothing...:huh:

    here is what i did today...scraped off the undercoating, sanded the rusty floorpans, washed everything down with grease and oil remover and painted it...simi gloss black. it will flatten out a little more. is's a little shiny now.

    ...:whew:...

    try...one week...i will finish the bottom tomorrow and start putting it back together..transmission, x-pipe and driveshaft.
