I like that idea, but I also like how Dennis mounted his gauges. I like your idea of poking them out of the dash.

:( Just got in from a funeral...
That is intresting mean mav. I would have to have it almost twice the actual posted size though, so that I can see the smaller ones. :drink:

    Dash with holes for gauges

I bought this dash a batch of parts. The guy was building a car to race.

I like them in the dash angled at the driver, but if you get tired of that you will have a lot of holes to weld up. But eye level is the best place... On my 74 pos I took out the center a/c vent and mounted them there....

I may just scrap it. I can see it in my head but I would want it chromed and that isn't happening. So now I may have found an alternitive, I can get them already chromed. They are adjustable, and affordable. I can order them and be done, just got to mount it. I just don't remember what size guages I have at the moment.

    This is the chrome one.

And another option, there are more... Not a priority at the moment so I will keep my eyes open.

Is that the dash? Altho I doubt it, could it be a mold to make one?

I have an idea, since you want chrome. Instead of the cans, go to the ricer accessories aisle of Autozone or even Wal-Mart and get one or two of those cheap chrome exhaust tips. Bring a gauge with you to test fit.

I cut one of those up to mount a gauge in my son's car:
