We started out today and had a blowout on the trailer just after we got into New Mexico. Oh well, Nothing new. Changed to the spare and continued on. 15 miles out of truth or consequences exit, we blew a second tire. Limped on into Wally World. They had 1 trailer tire in our size. We got it and continued in to Socorrro, New Mexico, to another Wally world. No tire service there. Came out and noticed a puddle under the truck. Oil is really low. Put in 5 quarts of oil. It had blown out of somewhere all over the inside of the engine compartment. Decided to get a motel here. Ruth went in to see about a room. I looked at it some more and found that the oil was mixed with water and blew out of the radiator coolant container. Going to the Ford dealer here tomorrow. We'll see what happens. Have 52K miles on the truck and have the 10year/100,000 warranty. Hopefully we'll still be in Joplin on time. Will keep you informed.
Wow seems like alot of people on the west cost are having bad trips lol I have bad luck but man 2 blow outs and an engine problem!
Sorry to hear this. You don't want that slice of pie that bad, do you? j/k Safety first Don, do what you gotta do. I'll say a prayer for you and yours.
wow, how many of these threads are there gonna be? why are so many maverickers having such bad luck lately? nonetheless, good luck getting everything up and running to make it in time.
My 1991 Ford has 267,000 miles and still going strong... ive owned both newer and older Fords... this why im sticking with 80s and 90s model ford trucks ...
That sucks!!! What kind of tires are you running? I had 2 blow outs on my last trip to FL. Mine are Goodyear tires. Kinda ironic.
