I hate you tell you this but the Mexican Shelby Maverick didn't have side scoops.

i don't have a very good feeling with the brazilian parts.

bought a tach on ebay two months ago - but haven't received anything so far.

i asked the seller when i could expect delivery, he told me to wait two more weeks. as time was running out (you only have 45 days to do that), i filed a complaint with ebay/paypal.

he hasn't responded to that, but wrote a general email to me and other customers - asking to wait, put trust in him, withdraw the complaint and leave positive feedback on ebay.
he claimed to be a man of honor, and that he would deliver the parts in the long run, but at the moment i just don't see this happening.

further inquiring when i can expect delivery i didn't get any reply. don't we all know how these stories turn out in the end?

Pretty scummy when someone rips off a guy who orders something in good faith, i hope it's just really late and your not getting screwed by this guy.

what pissed me off most was the "withdraw the complaint and leave positive feedback" part.

the complaint with ebay is the ONLY way i can see at least some of my money back, thanks to buyer protection.

the guy is a user here, see first post on this page, maybe he has the balls to come up with a solution.

Anyone that has not received their items needs to file a complaint before the 45 days. It is the only way to protect yourself - no matter how good a sellers reputation is - file the complaint with paypal.

If buying from the for sale section here - you can pay with paypal (if the seller accepts it) BUT USE A CREDIT CARD not a paypal balance. Paypal offers no protection outside of ebay - your credit card does.

    Caveat Emptor ............ :(

I know from experience that shipping stuff from there (Brazil) takes a lonnng time!
Jamie miles can tell you all about it! First time his parts were shipped 2 weeks later it was sent back to Brazil by the U.S customs, because of some information missing,on the 2nd try maybe three weeks or more Can't remember, Jamie finally gets the parts but the package was destroyed so to make long story short it took more than a month maybe two to get those parts here!
    :)

I have had stuff shipped from Brazil....and it does take awhile. Even longer than 45 days.

...But in the case of the seller that sells all those reproduction parts like the tachs and grill medallions, you need to file the PayPal claim within the 45 days. I waited too long and ended up getting nothing. MUCH later I had a Brazilian friend work out something for me to get what I'd paid for, but we're talking months and months later, and without the assistance of my Brazilian friend, I know I'd never have received anything ever.
