ok here we go i bought a set of pedals for $145 shiped E-bay !!((DO NOT USE THIS SLAVE AND MASTER))!! IT DOES NOT HAVE ENOUG TRAVEL FOR THIS T5 i used the CNC master and slave a world class t5 with bell housing rebuilt 10,000 miles $500 craig's-list stage 3 clutch / pressure plate / throwout bearing / pilot shaft bearing / 12 pound flywheel and a 28 oz and a 50 oz plates / this kit was for a 5.0 mustang // all as a kit on e-bay shiped for $435 drive line will need to be shorter about a inch i hacked up the trans mount it had to sit lower so i cut it about center of the curve on each side and added some steel ? and i had to buy 4 longer bolts for the bell housing because the bell housing for the t5 was a a bit thicker on the side's of it // i used the same starter and cover plate // i had to beat a dent by the gas pedal because the bleeder valve on the slave cylinder is to long if you can find a shorter one do so ! // and some other pic's the clutch pedal feels very good / soft this car is way way way WAY FASTER the swap cost me between 1200 & 1300 for every thing ! but it was worth every dime any other info you need just let me know
That's pretty awesome. Good work! I see your post says the hydraulics came from a '91 Escort, but your Photobucket page says '81. Which is it? Also, it's hard to tell from the pics, but do you think there would be any hope of that master cylinder clearing a power brake booster? Could it be moved a little bit further from the brake master cylinder or is that pretty much the only place you could put it? Thanks for documenting this!
yah it's from a 91 escort // and it all depends on how far it has to be moved but nothing is imposable i think it could be done with some fab work ? DONOT USE THIS SLAVE AND MASTER CYLINDER IT DOES NOT TRAVEL FAR ENOUGH
thank you is all i have to say lol... this comes as a huge help in my swap :Handshake great job on it
I was wondering if you could tell us what you used. Or have you gotten there yet? I'm doing the swap right now and still debating on which to use, cable or hydraulic. Steve
302-72-mav I followed what I think was your links to the cnc parts but the link to the slave cylinder was a push style. Did you use it on your cable style bell housing? Or did you use an older push style bellhousing and spacer with your T-5? Did you make a bracket to mount it to the trans somehow? Thanks, Steve
they sell the bracket that u use with the stock t5 trans bell just do a search under mustang t5 swap kits
