number 33..... My brother's '71 GT

    purchased from a forum member that is pretty close to the house. it's has some issues that made us decide to use it for parts for another comet body that he found. this car is a:
    '71 Comet GT
    302
    auto
    p/s
    a/c
    floor shift
    bucket seat (comfortweave grey gold)
    am radio
    3.00 axle ratio

    it's has some serious rust issues. the pass side front frame rail is gone, battery apron is gone, strut rod crossmember is gone, dr side apron is gone, core support is damaged, front floors are rusted, rear floors are rusted, dr side cowl is gone, trunk is rusty, dr door is rusty, hood is shot, etc...

    it may be easier to name the good parts :oops: but it has some nice parts and was a nice car in it's day. below is some pictures....

    LOL we caught you in the pics for the rear panel thread so you had to fess up ;P good find and i like the tail panel chrome on the mav also....

    Is what is left of the grill, a true GT grill? I would be interested in it if it is.

    14" :rolleyes: but they're in great shape. i may use them on my '72 :drive:

    nope, it's just a standard grey grille..... but there was a GT grille in the trunk :D if ur interested, lemme know and ill see if my brother is going to use it

    The true early GT grills had stainless trim across the 3 horizontal bars.

    I'm actually looking for a broken one so I can get it cheap. I want to examine the horizontal bars closely. But let me know either way.

    yeah, my brother and i talked about it the whole trip home.... back and forth between parts or fixer but the rust got the best of us (and the car) :(
