Another set of park benches bite the dust

    Had a busy weekend helping Clay swap to small bumpers on his Mav. Though the pics don't show it too well, we painted the bumpers black metallic. Didn't get the spoiler finished today, still have some glass work and paint to do on it. It will also be black metallic, the end caps already are. Really changed the look of his car for the better I think [and he does too!]

    I hate to say this, but those bumpers actually made the car! In the before pictures it's alright, but I personally wouldn't have taken a second look. Once the bumpers were changed I would stop and look to see the whole car!

    Only on a maverick can you change bumpers and get a totally differant look.Look's great.

    The camera takes pretty good pics for a point and shoot cheapo. It was my reward for working for the company 10 years. It was bad hot and humid too, and I had the camera in my jeans pocket, so the lens was probably dirty. If you look close, you can tell in the last two shots that the driveway was wet, and in the others it was dry. Came a heck of a rain just before we finished the front. And my boxer just had to get in the shot...He actually followed me around until I took a pic with him in it, then he walked away! A ham for sure! I'll get some more shots of it in the sunlight after we put the spoiler on.


    Russ, I'm old too! The big bumpers stick out far enough to sit on like a park bench, so the name stuck. Somebody here on the board called them that, and I just picked up on it.

    When we first bought the maverick we drove it down the road and somebody said oh its got them park benches on it.
