I got a 351 Windsor runs good. We are trading for some wheels. We are gonna build this motor? Wheres the best place to start?? I do not know year just that its a 4 barrel 351 windsor..
Look on the driver's side block up by the head. There should be a flat spot that will have the vin info on it to tell you the year. Jim
heads are junk the pistons are low compress. and the rods are weak the only thing good is the block sorry
Yeah i have heard you say the heads are junk but thats why im wanting advice on how to build this engine i want it strong to be able to get on it real quick but be a daily driver to and not get 3 miles to the gallon.
use the block and crank as mean said and by some cast iron heads if your making a driver definetly worth the investment in some better pistons and rods though Ford got cheap and the intrgrety of the rotatating assembly beyond the crank is not very desireble
Well i dont know i think it is an aftermarket 4 barrel highrise i dont have the engine i will get it tommorrow so i will get the code 2morrow.
The ONLY Factory Four Barrel Carburated 351w EVER produced was 1969. The only "Ho" truck motor 351w ever made were the Lightnings which were ALL injected.
