My golden brown Maverick ain't golden brown anymore....

    It's hot rod primer gray now!:thumbs2: Still need a bit more bodywork and sanding, but it's getting there!

    That's classified information. I could tell you, but I'd have to kill you :rofl2:. I've got a color combo picked out, but I want to surprise everybody when I get it finished [hopefully sometime this fall].


    Yeah, the smaller front tires [215-60-15, thanks for the info, Earl], really made it sit right. Just being a solid color really helps. too. Before, it was several different shades of golden brown where it had been sprayed over some bad body work.

    Haven't yet. It's only the hood that needs stripping. The body sanded real good, it was factory paint with some resprayed parts over some bad bodywork. The hood though, is awful. I've counted 4 different colors of paint and primer on it, 3 over the vinyl stripes! I'm going to try stripper on it, may take two or three times to get it down past the stripes. Found out the original hood color was Grabber blue. I've got a couple of flat hoods, so I'm going to spray bomb one of those flat black and run it until I get the Grabber hood primed. Now I just need to find me a newspaper mailbox and put a redneck scoop on one of them:D for a while.
