i was doing some floor pan metal work inside the car with the doors open, while grinding.. now i have a million tiny rust specs over the car, virtually over night. i tried waxing, some of the lighter specs come out, but the larger stay put. what can be done? buffing wheel?
You can try to sand and buff, but it probably won't help. All the grinding sent samll particles right into the door and pitted the paint. It may come off if you are really lucky. I did this once on a door glass. The welding blanket slid off and all the grinding slag hit the glass and ruined it. It actually pitted the glass and we had to replace it. Good luck!
Sparks= HOT metal shavings...They literally "burn" into whatever they land on.As you have discovered. If the clay bar doesnt work...Time to color sand and compound.Good luck!!!
Product called fallout remover. Used on new cars that get this from the train transport. Works great.

yep, i went down to p&s this morning and picked me up a bottle of their Crystal Wash, which is an acid that eats up everything sitting in your paint. its drying on the car now, hope it works!
