That works well. I have a relay box from a '93 Eclipse to house such crap in.

Well, junk yard was no good. Found one that might of worked, but I don't think I would have ever been able to get the starter solenoid nuts off.

Can I order a 93 eclipse box from the auto parts store? What are the dimensions of that box?

I think on one of Franks posts he talks about using a common hobby box from Radio Shack. They are pretty cheap.

If you are calling me the lying fool, I don't mean that I have already installed it, just that the box in that other thread looks perfect for what I need.

These are Corbin Johnson's pictures...I haven't looked at the sizes of boxes available yet.

Hobby box would look better if it was mounted in the right place, shock tower isnt the right place IMO...lol

Those hobby boxes get pretty big, I have a fairly large one hanging around the house, I think its 4"x6"x4", but it wont house the short circuit protector or the solenoid comfortably, so I cant use that...I could use it for a few other things though.

Ill probably end up having everything inside the car, also thinking about leaving the rear seat out, adding a roll cage, and giving it a racing type look so the disappearance of the rear seat looks a little more realistic...lol...If I do decide to do that itll give me the whole back seat section of the car to wire and bolt everything down and I can cut a piece of fiberglass to fit nicely over the whole rear area, have it on hinges on the back wall so I can open/close the panel as needed.

In my head that idea looks good, but execution never goes as planned...plus I havent decided the direction Im taking the interior yet...for those of you who did the racing-type interior, do you regret not leaving it stock looking?

So Bryant, what about people putting their starter solenoid in the trunk?

my silenoid is on the back of the shock tower. Its hid by the shock tower brace. This is my current set-up, but when I redo it down the road, everything will be under the dash and wires (which will be minimal) will run through the frame. I do not like were the MSD box is right now, but it will do until I get motivated to move it.

ive put the solinoid in the trunk on some cars. its not a big deal to do. you just have to run one or two more wires to the trunk. i like it by the fire wall. there its close to the starter, ignition swith and alt. ive put it behind the shock tower on a 69 mustang before. it worked but it was a little difficult to work on in that limited space, and the heat from the headers melted some wire loom and wires after about a year. not sure why i took so long to melt but it did and it happened.

Mine has been in the trunk for a couple of years now. I am working on enclosing the trunk this winter to hide it all. But, I like the fact that it eliminated several wires from under the hood.
