Got the hood all fiberglassed up and had a view of what it looks like black... should i add some stripes??? mabey highlight some black stripes with silver lines???? or just leave it alone.:16suspect
Your supposed to take the trim off before you fiberglass it lol looks good how much did you pay for that hood hah
i didnt have a choice it was eather take it off and not get it back on or leave it on and take a wool pad to it
I feel pretty lucky, my trim came off without a problem and no rust at all, I'll be putting it back on when its done. IMO nothing beats flat black, leave it alone +1 Stripes are overdone and overused in my opinion
Leave it black. Nice looking Mav by the way. I really love that blue. On a side note my trim came off pretty easy and my hood was a little gnarly with rust.
I would paint it the same color as the rest of the car and either paint or purchase the original factory stripes for it...but that's just me.
I hope you didn't use rattle can paint on it. If you did, and you ever want to paint it with automotive paint, you will have to strip it to the bare metal. I know from experience, mine had about 3 different colors of rattle can over the stripes and original paint. Took two quarts of stripper and a lot of elbow grease to get it all off...
All in good time... took it down to the metal and found a nice light blue under the purple. i plan on getting another hood for a new paintjob. this hood is good for now but some day ill get a real nice one... mabey in about 10 years
10 years. Cant imagine what they'll sell for in 10 years???? Grab one now before the economy recovers then sell it in 10 years and buy another Maverick.
I would paint a PINK stripe down the middle, but thats just me. What kind of seat is on the passenger side?
