Actually there are plenty of aftermarket taillights for '69 Camaros that look nothing like the originals. There's such a market for the '69 Camaro crowd that they don't even have to hit the junkyard to rape their cars' identity.

Pintos use maverick tail lights. The maverick came before the pinto did thus the tail lights are maverick lights.

I always wanted to do away with tail lights an gas cap period and put a set of those thin led strip lights in the spoiler.

My car may be pretty "unique" under the skin? But the overall look of the Maverick "as-is" is why I built mine in the first place. That and the low weight... I certainly wouldn't begrudge anyone for wanting to mod their car!

Yes but how many Pinto guys get hey nice Maverick lights??
I've got a few arent those Pinto lights??

They are the one part of the car I would have liked the factory to redesign. That being said I still have left mine as is since in the end they are a big part of the Maverick look. If I didnt have to do the work I would do the Torino lights.

Ok here's just a idea.Has anyone ever taken a stock light, cut the division bar out and removed the backup lense to make a solid red light? You could put a set of 60's Mustang back up lights in the valence....Just a thought.

It's your money. Do with it what you decide. These cars aren't so valuable that you can't alter them and make them worth less, usually more. Having seen Ray's car up close and personal at Silver Springs last year, I can tell you, it was the hit of the show and most viewed Maverick there. Great looking car!

And I like it that my Pinto Sprint and Maverick Sprint have matching taillights. They look good together.

I like "some" of the tail light conversions, when done well they are cool ,as the tail light area has a lot of room for those custom touches and can look great but , I happen to like the maverick tail lights "look" but feel they could be a bit smaller at times and find my self thinking of what I would have done ??? if I decided to change them would I go big to fill up the area or smaller than stock to blend them in the area some? but I can live with the stock look of them, as for the fast back quarters on a mav. as shown it looks awesome and wish they would have offered one that way along with the standard mav. it would have been great , but to do it on my own I don't have the body skills to do it or the money to have it done ,but it would be sweet.

I like the look of the taillights, and if anything else the bobcat taillights, but that heavily depends on the color combo they use...anything else = nah...I like my Maverick being a Maverick ;)
