Im assuming this is cosmetic, since it doesnt serve any mechanical or electrical purpose...lol Im not sure exactly what its called, but I need pictures of a good panel that the fenders bolt onto at the top, along with some good pics the radiator support...mine are rusted/bent badly and I need some templates to go by to restore it to like-new. Post as many pics as you know of, no such thing as too many Thanks in advance. Also, I have some thick black gooey mess that looked like it dripped down the side of the engine bay...looks like the black gunk that they used in the underside of the short circuit protector...whats the best way of getting that stuff off? Ive tried scraping and a bunch of chemicals and nothing seems to be working.
Sorry it isn't closer ... I had to spend a good deal of time fixing the drivers side hinge post on my car. Some good close-ups of that in my gallery. The gooey mess is probably from the electronics bolted to the inner fender. Try getting it cold (rub with ice) and try scraping it off. Failing that, more heat ought to melt it.
Thanks for the pics guys, that post is really going to help Theres 2 spots on both sides thats rusted completely through, and its where the plates meet, on top of that, both panels are dented up pretty badly, so Im flying blind other then pics. CptComet, I want those wheels Does anyone have a good pic of a radiator support? I need a closeup of the passenger side "vents" that are in the front along with closeups of the top of the radiator support on both sides where the hood bumpers are.(or whatever theyre called) Thinking of which, anyone know of a good place to buy replacement hood bumpers? I need the whole assembly for both sides(or if someone has a good set theyre willing to part with?)
Wow, beautiful Thank you VERY much Dave :Handshake and thanks everyone else who posted pics, its much appreciated!
Wheels Jeff, The front wheels are original Ford 15x7s. The back wheels are 15x8s made by Wheel Vintiques. Here is a page from Summit with some of WVs stuff ... http://www.summitracing.com/search/...ues-54-Series-Magnum-500-Wheels/?autoview=SKU If you need special backspacing, I think that they can do that too.
