    I looked for the thread where we discused the VIN being under the fender where it bolts to and I couldn't find it. I took one fender off so far today and found it. Should that area have a bend in it? Should I flatten it? I also found some other intresting things.

    The bottom VIN appears to have been done with a different set of punches, the numbers are slightly different, plus unevenly spaced, my guess is that it wasn't done at the factory like the top VIN. Which VIN matches your car? Very interesting.

    Same on the other side! I will look at the VIN on the tag after dinner and see which matches.

    That 31F wont be part of the vin on the fender. So the bottom one is the one on your door what about the dash? does it look tampered with. Looks like the 2nd Stamping isnt as legit as the first stamp.

    Not sure what you mean by second stamping.
    My dash was tampered with!! :16suspect

    I put the tag in a 72 dash. That partial drill hole was already there. I reused the drilled holes.
