Oil and temp gauges AND idiot light?

I'm installing an oil pressure gauge on a 200 straight six. I know it might be redundant, but can I buy an adapter that will give me another port so I could screw in my oil pressure sensor as well?
Seems that if the old sensor operates on pressure that it would pick up the pressure even if at a 90 degree angle from original.

--------Added this part a little later-------

I'd really like to have the idiot light for my water as well. I've got two choices that I"m aware of to install temp sensors on my 200. At the back of the head where the original is and in the front where the PVS valve is. (That medussa head looking thing). I've had the PVS valve non-functional for a couple of years now and could certainly use it. Question is which would be the better location for the idiot light and the temp gauge sensor. Not really sure which one to use since I'm going to use the temp reading to manually dial in my temp control for the electric fan I just installed. I realize the thermostat is located right there at the PVS valve but as I understand it, water won't be flowing through there until the thermostat opens. Since my temperature sensor for the electric fan is close to the inlet hose at the top of the radiator I'm guessing it would be most logical to install the gauge sensor up front? Wow---just made a long story longer didn't I?

    Use a brass Tee fitting.

Yep, it works just fine. :thumbs2: Most any auto parts store should have it, just tell them what you are wanting to do.

An ex-girlfriend of mine had an older car that only had a gauge from the factory. I used one to add the biggest light I could find (a shift light actually) in the car since she had an oil leak that she wouldn't be bothered to fix and never checked the gauge or oil level (it was too dirty for her to do ).

She couldn't miss the light and had someone put oil in it when it came on.

Just wonder if the same would work for my temp sensing unit? Or does the probe have to be in the head?

Not only does it need to be in the head...it needs to be in the flow of coolant to get an accurate reading

That's what I thought, I'll just try and keep an eye on the new temp gauge.

------A second thought------; see the next post.

The water at the top front of the engine will be the peak temps and the water at the back will be slightly lower temp. If you want the light to be more of a warning light then put it in the front of the head.

You could remove the plug and put a sensor in the 't-housing.

If you have one.... not all the housings have a plug.

    temp_probe_old_original.jpg All done, this
    temp_probe_new_original.jpg

    has replaced this:

And I have both an idiot light and temp gauge. Did the same thing with the brass fitting suggestion for oil pressure. Idiot lights and gauges.

    Just what i need.
