My friend Jim, a maverick, and a turkey dinner too........ This is my 74 grabber that I have owned for over 4 years, I'm parting it out so I can finish my 71 grabber.. Thanks to my friend Jim (countangman) I couldn't have done it without him.. We also pulled the gas tank out of the 71 and found out,the tank is junk... Jim has a tank, so we're going to do Some parts trading...
That is Jim he is a true fan of all things ford... He has a barn full of them.... and some merc's too..........
It's really not to bad,it has the typical rust problems.cowl, rear lower quarters, small hole in pass. door, under battery tray, and drivers side floors.. But when you have a rust free 71 and can only afford to finish one,the 71 wins out... I would love to see someone take the 74 and fix it....
I want too do just that, I don't know what a roller with some rust repair needed is worth... It has bucket seats and all the chrome and stainless on it is good. It is a grabber, baught new in st.pete fl. with a clean fl. title...
Ken's right. It was a great day! I have always said that it's all about the people, that the cars are just an excuse to get together. Good friends, good food, good times. Yes, Brad, it's me in the picture. I used to be a Hottie, now I am just a Nottie. Old and fat, but still sassy! And I do love these old Fords and Mercs!! Ken's '74 is a pretty decent car and if he hadn't had around $2000 in the motor and a TCI tranny from Summit behind it, he would have left it in the car and fixed it up. However, he previously owned a '71 Grabber and the one I sold him was a Ca. rust free one. I only sold it because I wanted to buy the Sprint Pinto from Brad. Now, we are looking forward to seeing the bright red with a black vinyl top '71 coming back to life. He has big plans for the car and it will be nice. If anyone out wants a decent '74 project, I am sure Ken would make you a good deal. Jim
How is the rear bumper on the 74? I need a nice one for my Stallion. And I'm coming that way in January!
Jamie, You probably remember the '71 that Ken is restoring. I bought it from Tim Holland a couple of years ago. I know you saw it there. It is currently green, but will be taken back to the original color of bright red. Jim
