Starting my project finally! Monday dad replaced the Comet's power steering pump. I'm starting with the minor things and working up to the bigger ones. It was so nice to get behind the wheel again and take her around the neighborhood. The engine was a little rough after sitting, but is smoothing out a lot the more it's driven too. Got a lot ahead of me, I wish it was a quicker process to restore a car. Makes it slower too since I'm also working on my daily driver as well.
At least I can drive it while I work on it for a bit. I'll be sad when I have to take it off the road for the body work and new engine and stuff.
yea im the same way. ive been doing body work on my 70 mav for about a month now and it seems like forever
This is why I try and do small projects one at a time so I can keep it on the road. I seen too many people get an old car and take every nut and bolt from it and it never gets finished.
My biggest fear is not finishing it. I want it done within a year or so. I have the finances for it, just very limited time due to work. I don't have any time right now, so it's mostly being put on my dad at the moment and he's got his hands full with all the family vehicles lol.
