what size tires

    what size tires should i run on my comet. i bought some 18x9 and 18x10 magnim 500's today from americanmuscle.com. just wondering what size tire should i run. my comet is lowered about a inch all the way around. any input would help out alot thanks

    I am running the same as Frank above, but I have 8 and 7 inch rims. My 255s rub on the inside of the fender lip when I nail it hard. Other than that, fit is great.

    I am in the process of rolling that lip for a little extra clearance.

    Are the 18x9 going to fit? I'm thinking your are going to need a 40 series or maybe a 35 series. My 17 front tire is 24.9 inches & its mighty close but don't rub. My car is lowered but I think its nore like 2 inches atleast. If my numbers are correct 255/35/18 should be about 25 inches but that is wide for the front or 245/40/18 should be about 25.7 inches tall. Look at the brand web page to make sure because all are not the same. As far as the rear, it does not matter because the rear do not need to turn. they just needs to claer the suspension and fenders. 26 or 27 inches should be fine.
