Here's what they looked like before: ...Not awful, but very much homemade and very much looked it. I recently bought some original door panels in decent shape, (thanks 1973Maverick357) and with a little reconditioning, new clips and a couple coats of plastic paint, they came out nice I think. To those I added some armrests I found in a junkyard a while back. Torino/Montego, I forget the year, but they fit perfectly. The bases are chromed, which I thought was cool, and although they are longer than stock, all I had to do was move a mounting clip to another slot that was already present in my doors. I believe these are the same size as the deluxe Maverick armrest bases. I learned something from this: If you're going to change the color of a pair of armrest pads, Krylon Fusion is not the paint to use. I tried that at first, and after over a month they were still sticky. I had to sand all that off and use Rustoleum plastic paint. That adhered well and dried perfectly. Anyway, the pics. You might spot a few other little interior changes too, since the first pics are pretty old: I thought the door panels were just a minor detail that bugged me for a long time, but now that I've fixed them I think they utterly change the character of the whole interior. It just looks a lot more finished now.
Thanks everybody! Yeah, Scooper, the Krylon Fusion has done fine for me on some things, but it's just no good on those armrest pads
