my carpet could use a revamp...color is either gonna be gray or black. i've seen different types but not sure of the differences. i want something that will look like modern crpeting, not like my current one where u can see all the individual loops, i remember seeing a picture of the inside of a mav that looked like the inside of a brand new car and the carpet made all the difference. anyone care to explain the differences and what i should buy for a more modern look
why do i want a 2 piece and not the 1 piece? just curious y 2 piece is better? i would imagine 1 piece would look better
Carpet Weave I installed black plush cut pile, 1 piece in my car last Sept from www.stockinteriors.com. The carpet cost 119.95 + ship. I am very satisfied w/ the way it looks. The car had 2 pc. I don't know if that was orig carpet; It looked like it might have been. I like the look of the one piece better but I think the 2pc is probably easier to install. I think it's just a matter of preference. I wud'nt have a problem w/ either format.
Previous owner of my car installed a 1 peice, cut pile black carpet and it looks sharp. My only complaint is that I'm still not used to a car not having a center console, so the carpet looks lumpy around the transmission hump bit that can't be helped unless I get rid of the sweet bucket seats. Which will never ever happen.
My car's carpet is a little loose arnd the hump but U have to be lookin hard to notice it. Im very please w\ the results and the cost. Im not sure the aftermarket does'nt make them that way, purposely. I plan on installing a console in the future, not to hide the carpet but for storage and convience. I will either make one or get one from boneyard. I have fac buckets and will replace them also w\ some later model cloth; I hate vinyl plus the newer seats are more comfy for distance driving.
i got my carpet from jcwhitney and it looks really good fits almost like the original did. the carpet looks like its from a new car and a 2 piece is easier to install it doesn't look anydifferent
I like those carpets that they install in hotrods, they look like they are at least 4-6 pieces. Anyone know where to get those from? they might be custom I suppose.
