Turn signals and 2nd headlights behind billet grille.

Scooper, if you need a set of those Bezels i have a pretty nice set that i dont need. i dont think i have the backing piece with the bulb for it but if you need the bezels you can have them for super cheap lol...i polished them really nice cause i was bored

 

Working on a deal with Karina by PM, AS WE SPEAK, and don't want to drop it unless it doesn't work out. If it does, I will get in touch.

I am looking for anything that will work, because I really don't want to cut up a perfectly good set of under-the-valence lights if I don't have to. I know SOMEONE on here is needing a pair, and I can't see destroying these if they can use them.

 

Yeah....I wouldn't destroy a really nice pair of the bumper turn signals. Those sell really well on ebay.

I think somebody suggested going to a truck stop and looking at aftermarket LED lights. That is what I would suggest.

 

I went and wasnt' impressed with anything. The shapes were just round, square, and rectangle. Bought a couple to test out but haven't installed them yet. Only 4 led lights and not sure if they will be bright enough.

 

Got my headlights in today. There is a small blue bulb in the bottom with separate wires.

What is up with those? I assume just to give a blue tint to the light?

And you can tell by the pic that the bulb already has a bluish tint to it. Do I even need to hook the little blue bulb up? Will it benefit me at all?

 

Where did you get those? How about a picture of the back...

 

I have those headlights in my car but i did not hook up the blue parking lights. these headlights do a good job!

 

H4 HeadLight Kits

I am considering a set of those for my car. Are they much of an improvement over reg halogen lamps?

 

Here is the back. The main light has a 3-pronged plug, which i think is the same as our stock plug. Then another 2-wire plug for the little blue light.

Here are side by side pics of the headlights. sorry I can't just back the car out of the garage and take one pic of both, but no fuel tank in car right now.

The light is MUCH clearer, crisper, not sure if brighter since I just have it on in the garage. Not as orange as the old lights.

Now that the pictures are up, it doesn't do them justice. Actually looks like the older ones are brighter, and you cannot see the sharp difference in the color of the lights.

 

Those are the headlights have been running for over a year, very pleased with them. The small blue bulbs are the same size as w5w/194's, so I replaced them with regular white ones and didn't even wire them up. The larger H4 bulbs also have a blue tint, and that's not really the look I want so I replaced those as well.

They are a vast improvement over the sealed beams I replaced, especially when I put the better quality Sylvania bulbs in.

 

ive been thinking of geting those or some other housings and puting hids in. i would like to see hids in those housings to help make my decision. so one of you guy need to go get a hid kit and try it out. hop to it. hurry up im waiting.

 

Don't you need more power and different wiring for HID?

I am pulling max amps out of my alternator as it is. I am trying to buy a serpentine belt setup, and after I get it installed, I will get a 100A alternator with the serpentine belt grooves.

Oh, wait, I have not gas tank. I need to get that cell installed first.

I hate when I get so many irons in the fire that I put my own fire out...

 

I plan to do that pretty soon, will do a writeup when I do. That's kinda why I got these housing in the first place, just haven't got around to the HID conversion yet.

...And actually the reason I wanted to do the HID conversion in the first place was to lower power consumption. I thought my electric fan wasn't getting enough juice to keep my engine cool, turns out I had a bad gauge.

HIDs use significantly less power than conventional bulbs. Different wiring yes, but not more power.
